We start with top-end aluminium profiles from suppliers like Cortizo, Seeco and Reynaers. Some windows, like Reynaers’ SlimLine 38, have highly desirable thermal properties. But be warned: even the most expensive frames will let in cold and damp if fitting is inaccurate. At Aperture Glazing, tiny measurements matter. Our Dublin factory works to tolerances of a fraction of a millimetre. Similarly, on-site, our experienced team ensures that all crafts work together to ensure a perfect fit and a wonderful look. As a bonus, expert fitting also means extra security.

With the right fitting and materials, frame profiles these days can be as narrow as 50mm, or less than two inches. Aluminium is particularly suited to an anodised finish: it’s an attractive look and it helps to ensure durability. Other options include double- or triple glazing, and inward as well as outward opening.
